We rescued Sydney in Bremerton, Wash., when she was a cute 6-week-old Shepherd/Akita puppy, and she traveled with us as we moved from Hawaii to D.C. to San Diego to Budapest to D.C. again and finally to Boulder nearly 15 years later. Sydney had a great zest for food – especially Dingos, peanut butter-filled Kongs, bananas, bread and even corn-on-the-cob — and loved to howl, get belly rubs, go on hikes with her brother Riley and run/splash in the shallow waters of rivers and oceans. We gave Sydney the life she deserved – that of a queen, with us as her loyal subjects — but she gave us so much more than that in return. She will be sorely missed. RIP with your brother Riley in puppy heaven, sweet girl.
